You don’t have to do it all yourself.

Every publishing project involves a ton of decisions, dozens of people—editors, designers, distributors, printers, wholesalers—and not an insubstantial amount of money.

On top of that, the publishing industry has never been in greater turmoil. Traditional publishing is on rocky financial ground as new self-publishing technologies hit the market and POD options become more and more enticing.

Should you promote your book to agents and publishers? Who are your best targets? Should you self-publish? Go POD (there’s a difference!)? Maybe your project would sell best pitched straight to filmmakers with the book as an attachment. Another astonishingly flexible and inexpensive option is an eBook. What’s an author to do?

Whether you’re trying to get a book published, creating an e–zine, wallowing in the throws of creative confusion or maxed out on your book proposal, sometimes it just helps to be able to pick up the phone and talk to someone with experience, contacts, a head for research and an ability to find answers if she doesn’t already have them!
